Personal Information

Justice Karen Angelini was born in Austin, Texas in 1951. She was appointed to the Fourth Court of Appeals in January 1997. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A. with Honors 1972) and St. Mary’s University School of Law (J.D. 1979).

Prior to joining the court, Justice Angelini practiced law for approximately ten years with the law firm of Brock and Fuller. She also served as a Briefing Attorney with the Fourth Court of Appeals for one year and with the U.S. District and U.S. Magistrate Courts in the San Antonio Division of the Western District of Texas for four years.
