Personal Information

Calhoon is an attorney in private practice specializing in criminal defense litigation. He is a former assistant district attorney of Anderson County, where he recently served as a chief felony prosecutor. Calhoon serves on the board of directors of the Anderson County Appraisal District and the board of trustees of the Palestine Independent School District. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Anderson County Bar Association and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Calhoon received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
