Personal Information

George "Dave" Scott III of Richmond is a rancher and retired executive vice president of Port City Stockyard Company. He is a life member of the Fort Bend County Fair Association and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association and Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Council, and past president of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. He is also a board member of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and a member of the Texas Livestock Market and Brazoria County Cattlemen's Association. He served in the Texas National Guard. Scott attended the University of Houston and Sam Houston State University. Reappointed 4/2013 and will continue to serve as chair of the board for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor.
