Personal Information

Fire Chief Bill Hawley oversees the Allen Fire Department. He became the City of Allen’s Fire Chief on July 29, 2002. Chief Hawley plans, directs, leads and oversees the activities and operations of the Fire Department including emergency operations, prevention and administration. Prior to Allen, he served 17 years in Fire Service including six as a Deputy Fire Chief over Operations and Training/EMS services for the Town of Addison. Prior to Addison, Chief Hawley served 10 years for the City of Plano Fire Department.

Chief Hawley has an extensive list of accomplishments including the recent graduation from two prestigious programs: the Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program at Harvard University, and the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas.
