Personal Information

Romero is vice president of community development for Wells Fargo Bank N.A. He is a member of the El Paso Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, National Association of Securities Dealers, and Texas Bankers Association. He is a board member and treasurer of the El Paso Housing Finance Corporation, vice chair of the Texas Community Capitol Board, and a board member of the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies. He is chairman of the El Paso Collaborative for Community and Economic Development, and Texas Foundations Fund Advisory Board, past chairman of the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation, and past board member of the Rural Development Finance Committee. He is also a past board member and treasurer of ACCION, Texas and a member of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce. Romero attended the University of Texas at El Paso and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco National Community Development Lending School.
