Personal Information

Rucker is the current presiding judge of the Seventh Administrative Region. He is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, Midland County Bar Association, Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and Texas Board of Legal Specialization Family Law Section. He is also a commissioner on the Texas Supreme Court Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families, past chair of the Texas Center for the Judiciary and State Bar of Texas Judicial Section. He is a member of the board of directors of Midland Teen Court, past president of the Community and Senior Services of the Permian Basin Inc., and a past director of the Midland Cerebral Palsy Center, now Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center. Rucker received a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
