SB 1743 84th Legislature changes the name of the Office of Capital Writs to the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs.The Office of Capital and Forensic Writs is entrusted with advocating on behalf of indigent individuals sentenced to death in Texas. The Office works within the judicial system to safeguard the Constitutional rights of the individual through high quality legal representation, undertaken by a diverse staff.
