Personal Information

In November 2006, Cynthia was elected as Williamson County Commissioner, Precinct Two. In addition to the responsibilities of Commissioner, Cynthia was appointed by her fellow Commissioners to represent Williamson County on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) where she serves as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the CAMPO Finance Committee. She also serves on the Capitol Area Council of Government. Cynthia is the Executive Sponsor for the County’s purchase and implementation of a new Computer Aided Dispatch System.

Cynthia is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a BBA in Business Analysis. Upon graduation, Cynthia began working in the technology field. She worked in various technical positions before moving into IT management, working for the State of Texas. In 1997, she started her own technology consulting company.

Cynthia has been active in the community since moving to Williamson County in 1988. She served on the Planning and Zoning Commission in Cedar Park from 1992 to 1995. In 1995, Cynthia was elected to City Council in Cedar Park and served for 4 years. In 2002, Cynthia was again appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission, where she served as Vice-Chairman until 2006. She volunteered on various campaigns and served as Vice-Chairman of the Williamson County Republican Party.

Cynthia has served on the Round Rock Medical Center Board, the Greater Williamson County YMCA Board, and was the founding Chairman of the Twin Lakes YMCA. Cynthia and her husband Donn are active members of Hill Country Bible Church and in 2007 helped start Hill Country Bible Church – Leander. Cynthia and Donn have one awesome daughter, age 10.
