Personal Information

Earl L. Yeakel III of Austin is a judge on the United States district court, Western District of Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970, and was honorably discharged. He was also a participant in the 49th Current Strategies Forum at the United States Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Yeakel is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a former director of the Travis County Bar Association and the Texas Young Lawyers Association. He received his bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Laws in the judicial process from the University of Virginia.
