Personal Information

Councilmember Cooper was a member of the Pflugerville Planning and Zoning Commission, serving his second term in the position of Vice Chair, prior to being elected to the City Council. In addition to his duties as a Planning Commissioner, he participated in several specific planning projects within the City of Pflugerville over the past several years, including the Pflugerville SH 130 & SH 45 Corridor Development Strategy Advisory Committee, and the Pflugerville Residential Quality Standards Advisory Committee. Cooper knows that the unprecedented growth the City of Pflugerville has seen in the last few years will continue for some time to come. The completion of the SH 130 and SH 45 toll roads have left the City with a wide range of choices that will shape its future. Cooper wants to help the City and its residents make the right choices so that Pflugerville remains the wonderful city we all live in. To that end, Cooper's focus is to ensure that development occurs in a way that is beneficial to the entire city, and that Pflugerville will leverage its success for improvements to its infrastructure, and entice improvements through all of Pflugerville, including downtown, its southern and future far eastern borders, and its school district.

Cooper is an avid gardener and is a member of the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce with his firm, and is a past member of the Pflugerville Rotary Club. He and his wife enjoy many activities in Pflugerville with their children, including school-based activities, Girl Scouts, and the track and cross country programs at Pflugerville High School and Park Crest Middle School.
