Personal Information

McDonald is a consultant for McCormick Company, and former president and CEO of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. He is director of the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Board and West Texas A&M University Foundation, and past director of the Texas Feed and Fertilizer Control Service, and Amarillo Health Care Coalition. He is also a past member of the American Society of Animal Science, American and Texas societies of Association Executives, and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. McDonald is past chairman of the Texas Agricultural Council and Amarillo Library Advisory Board. He received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, and a master’s degree and doctorate degree in animal breeding from Louisiana State University. Reappointed 12-2009.
