Personal Information

Tedd L. Mitchell agreed to serve as the interim chancellor of the Texas Tech University (TTU) System following the retirement of Robert Duncan, who served as chancellor of the system for four years. Mitchell will continue as president of the TTU Health Sciences Center while serving as the interim chancellor. The TTU system is based in Lubbock and the chancellor oversees TTU, TTU University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University and the TTU Health Sciences Center El Paso.


Mitchell holds a bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
