Personal Information

A native Texan, Lindsay Rodgers serves as TDA's Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Food and Nutrition. Rodgers is a registered and licensed dietitian and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Master of Arts in Health Education from the University of Texas.

Rodgers' background includes nearly a decade of experience in nutrition and public health. Before joining Commissioner Staples' senior staff, she was director of TDA's Nutrition, Education and Outreach Unit.

Prior to joining TDA, Rodgers was at the Texas Department of State Health Services in the Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention Program, where she developed the Farm to Work program in partnership with the Sustainable Food Center.

She is married to Chad Rodgers. The couple has two young daughters.
