Personal Information

Karen graduated from Coronado High School in 1980. She has been married for 23 years to Scott Gibson, and they have two sons, Blaine & James. Karen and Scott have one granddaughter, Emily.

Professional Life
Karen began working in banking in 1982 and worked in financial institutions for more then 10 years. Karen later began working with her husband Scott at Gibson's Plumbing Heating & A/C, Inc. In 2004, Karen and Scott purchased the business when Scott's parents retired. In addition to owning Gibson's Plumbing, Heating & A/C, Karen and Scott own Success in Investments, LLC, a property management company.

Community Service
Karen serves in the community and believes that public service is not a duty but an honor. She and Scott are active members of the First Baptist Church in Lubbock. Karen volunteers for Buckner Ministries serving as a member of the Ambassador Council and a teacher at My Father's House. She has previously served as chairperson for the Madison Hope National Memorial Scholarship fund for the last 3 years. Karen and her husband Scott work with Buckner Ministries in Cusco, Peru; they are house parents for a transition house in Peru. Karen loves working in all communities whether it be here in Lubbock or as far as Peru.
