Personal Information

Alan Waldrop is a partner at Locke, Lord, Bissell and Liddell LLP, and a former justice of the Texas Third Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice law in the U.S. Court of Appeals Fifth Circuit, and U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and Travis County Bar Association, and a life member of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is a volunteer lawyer for the Austin Volunteer Legal Services Family Law Clinic and a recipient of the State Bar of Texas W. Frank Newton Pro Bono Services Award. He is also a past member of the American Inns of Court and University of Texas Liberal Arts Foundation Advisory Council. Waldrop received a bachelor's degree and law degree from the University of Texas.
