Personal Information

Wes Hambrick of Houston previously served as the Deputy Director and Legislative Liaison. He has served the state since 2015. He worked to secure billions of dollars in disaster funding to Texas related to Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery and continues to ensure this crucial funding is appropriately allocated to Texas. Hambrick has pushed to expand Texas’ economic development and trade footprint in Washington as well as to protect the state against harmful federal regulations. He has partnered with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to safeguard federal funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program and pushed back against federal foster care legislation that would undercut Texas reforms. Hambrick previously worked in the United States Senate for Senator John Cornyn.

He is a member of the Texas State Society and the Texas Exes Washington D.C. Chapter and is a volunteer for the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity. Hambrick received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
