Personal Information

Elected to the Port Commission in 2011, Shane Pirtle is currently a senior consultant with SIS-Tech Solutions. Pirtle retired from The Dow Chemical Company after 30 years of service, and also has previous managerial and professional experience at other engineering firms. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Control Systems.


Pirtle is a Distinguished Alumni of Brazosport College holding an Associate of Applied Science and Associate in Engineering Science degrees.

Pirtle served six years as mayor for the City of Lake Jackson and one year as a city council member. Among his many civic activities, Pirtle is an active board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Brazoria County, Brazoria County Economic Development Alliance, Brazosport Rotary Club, Brazosport Chamber of Commerce, Brazosport Business Roundtable, Bay Area Council Boy Scouts and BACH.
