Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Corrections from Sam Houston State University

Over 50 years of experience in the corrections and criminal justice fields in positions ranging from probation officer to various management positions with the TDCJ-Parole Division and the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Formerly served as a governor appointed Board Member and returned to the Parole Division upon expiration of his term, eventually serving that agency as Director of the Review and Release Processing section and the Warrant section. Subsequently returned to the Parole Board and served as the Board Administrator for several years, and since 2012, as a Parole Commissioner.
