Personal Information

Graduate of Denton High School, University of North Texas, and Texas Wesleyan School of Law.

From 1999 to 2001, during and following law school, Ms. Shipman worked for the law firm of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff and Miller, L.L.P. in Fort Worth, gaining experience in that firm’s civil litigation section. For two and a half years, Ms. Shipman was a Denton County Assistant Criminal District Attorney and represented the State of Texas in hundreds of cases involving criminal matters and the termination of parental rights in cases of child neglect or abuse. Since 2004, Ms. Shipman has practiced in the area of civil litigation, primarily in Denton and is a shareholder of Shipman Steppick.
