Personal Information

Mike Morrissey serves as budget director, his latest role in state government. He has been with the lieutenant governor’s office since 2015. Before his current role, he was a senior advisor to former Gov. Rick Perry, director of the Budget, Planning and Policy Division in the Governor’s Office. He has extensive experience as a director of budgets and fiscal policy, serving under Lt. Gov. Bill Ratliff, Lt. Gov. Rick Perry and Lt. Gov. Bob Bullock. Morrissey earned a law degree from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Oklahoma.
