Regent Wesley G. Terrell He was appointed to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents by Gov. Greg Abbott, elected Vice Chair in 2015 and served as Acting Board Chair for five months in 2017.



Terrell is Assistant Vice President & Senior Legal Counsel with AT&T in the company's Dallas headquarters. Terrell has approximately $19 billion in signed capital deal value during his career and has been profiled by the Dallas Business Journal in their 2011 business leader series. Terrell leads negotiations for acquisitions and divestitures domestically and in more than 16 countries and manages attorney teams in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital, real estate, intellectual property, environmental, FCC regulatory, anti-trust and litigation. As of 2016, Terrell had led more than 100 capital transactions during his tenure at AT&T, including several billion and multi-billion dollar transactions.
