Justice Wallach is a Fort Worth native. He graduated from Fort Worth Eastern Hills High School as Top Male Graduate in 1973. He then graduated from Texas Christian University in 1975, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. He proceeded to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law School, cum laude, in 1979. Following law school, he returned to Fort Worth where practiced with the law firm of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller until 1991. He and four other attorneys then opened the firm of Wallach, Jones & Moore, P.C., where he practiced until he was elected to serve as Judge of the 348th District Court beginning in 2017. He was appointed to the Second Court of Appeals, Place 6, by Governor Greg Abbott on September 7, 2019.
