Personal Information

Larry Hughes, Ed.D. of Frisco is a zone vice president of operations at 7-Eleven, Inc. Prior to joining 7-Eleven, he served in a variety of leadership assignments in the retailing and hospitality sectors. Hughes previously served as a founding member of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City – Kansas City. He is a national board member of the Armed Services YMCA and a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship International. In addition, he serves as a life member of the National Black MBA Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army and Army National Guard. Hughes received a Bachelor of Science in U.S. history from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Master of Science in Management from Baker University, and Doctor of Education in Human and Organizational Learning from George Washington University.
