Chris Ekoh was appointed to serve as the Interim Public Counsel for the Office of Public Utility Counsel (OPUC) on June 17, 2021. Mr. Ekoh brings over 28 years of experience practicing administrative, environmental, and energy law. As the Interim Public Counsel, Mr. Ekoh will oversee day-to-day operations and lead OPUC’s representation of residential and small commercial consumers, as a class, in the state’s electric, water, wastewater and telecommunications utility industries primarily before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH), state courts, and Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
