A native of Baltimore, Dan has been a Texan since joining Houston CBS affiliate KHOU TV in 1979. In 1988 he launched talk radio KSEV. Dan was twice elected to the Texas Senate from District 7 in Houston and Northwest Harris County. As Education Chairman in the 83rd Legislative Session, Lt Gov. Patrick passed some of the most far-reaching education reforms in decades, tackling the problems of failing public schools and giving parents more choices for their children, Lieutenant Governor of Texas, January 2015-present.
