Rep. Bell founded his electrical contracting business in 1983 and has grown the company to 225 employees. He also owns and operates a cattle ranch and is a member of the Texas Farm Bureau.

Keith serves on the Forney ISD School Board, and is the current president. He is also a founder and past-President of the Forney Education Leadership Foundation, and serves on the Board of the Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Sunnyvale, TX.
